Calculations stay on your device

Every Stairs Calc calculation runs entirely in your browser. We do not send your stair dimensions to a server, and we do not store them. A calculation only leaves your device if you choose to copy its shareable link or download a file.

What we store locally

We keep two small preferences in your browser’s local storage — your unit system (inches or millimeters) and your light/dark theme — so the site remembers them between visits. These never leave your device and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, they are privacy-light and cookieless: we measure which tools and features are used in aggregate, with no personal information and no cross-site tracking.
